Canon Headquarters

Set on a sloping site facing South, this densely occupied UK Headquarters Building for Canon relies on natural cross-ventilation for cooling purposes, with extensive use being made of exposed concrete soffits, and clear air paths.

Brise soleil reduces solar gains to the South and to the East and West elevations, whilst windows open and close automatically 24 hours per day to ensure a comfortable working environment throughout the day. As may be expected from this Client, the roofscape includes an extensive photovoltaic array, with the power generated being fed into the building.

Since initial occupation, we have returned to the site on a number of occasions to assist with redevelopment of various areas as the Canon business model has evolved.
