Conversion of a heavily-serviced, uncomfortable 1970s office block into a new densely occupied, comfortable, naturally ventilated headquarters building in the centre of Winchester.
The project relied heavily on wind-tunnel testing and computer modelling to devise a scheme that allowed full cross-ventilation without noise intrusion from the busy neighbouring streets.
The resulting scheme increased occupation density by a factor of two whilst reducing carbon consumption by over 50%.
