New digital multimedia centre for the local community. The building includes auditorium, teaching spaces and communal offices and meeting rooms. The building is constructed using a modular straw bale system and includes a biomass boiler, solar hot water generation and below ground rainwater harvesting system. The building is predominantly naturally ventilated with mechanical ventilation with heat recovery for the noise sensitive spaces. The new building opened in February 2008.
